When people tell me that I (my skin) look darker, I always feel happy about it. Not because it's cool to be tan during summer, or whatever, but because it tells how much I love to stay outdoors, not (only) for people, but for the pretty places to see out there. And it gets me a little sad that my tan usually goes away after a few days.
This summer break, I had so much fun enjoying the outdoors (as always). I don't want the break to waste away without having even small get-together. And this time, I chose to spend outings with the family. Yey!
Aside from going to the beach, I also planned to hike at Mt. Pico de Loro, for the third time. I invited friends from the church if they wanted to join. But some of them have already hiked just a few weeks ago, so only Grace and Michael joined me.
So far, my third climb was my fastest to hike that mountain. I don't exactly know why, but maybe partly because first-timer-turned-tour-guide Grace walked very quick. Her pace is so fast that Michael and I had quite a hard time to keep up with her. We grew very tired but Grace seemed tireless. It was fun though to have Grace's company. She liked to sing old songs that made me laugh so hard every time. I'm looking forward to another climb, hopefully this year. It doesn't matter if it's still a day hike in Pico, or in another mountain, because every climb is special to me, and every climb is another opportunity to connect with nature and to appreciate God's creation.
