I already spent two weeks at work and I am enjoying it now.
Yesterday was a busy one. As soon as I arrived at the school, I reviewed the presentation that I would use in the Kumon Parent Orientation. It was my first time to give that orientation so I was a little nervous that I might not be able to answer all their questions. Seeing the 101 slides exhausted me. And while I was reviewing the presentation, parents and children came to the front line, so I had to handle their concerns first. I was expecting for two parents who confirmed their attendance in the orientation.
One parent came in early so I had to accommodate her and her child. I felt at ease that the parent is approachable and looked nice. So I had a chat with her while waiting for the other parent. Finally, another parent came in (the one who didn't confirm) so I had to start talking.
The orientation went fine and I learned a lot from it. I am also thankful that the parents that I met yesterday were cool people. They were easy to talk with and fortunately, they understood what I talked about.
I'm beginning to think that working is a lot like studying, the only difference is you get paid for your attendance and performance. I learn things from people that I meet at the school and I am thankful for all of these. Going to work is not a burden at all. ☺
